Hartford Turnpike - MILESTONE NO. 4

Last August, Paul Saubestre posted his article, "Historic Milestones in Hamden," with the Facebook Spring Glen neighborhood group.
,
At the time, Hartford Turnpike Milestone No. 4 was thought to be lost.  However, the owner of the house at 800 Hartford Turnpike (at right) replied that Milestone No. 4 is still around - and on her property.
,
When Paul first visited the property, the milestone could not be located among the thick foliage, which is evident in the more recent photo at the top, where the yellow circle denotes the stone's location as seen (or more aptly, unseen) from the street.
,
Paul returned to the site again on November 29, 2020 and took this close-up photo (below) of Milestone No.4, which is located north of the house at 800 Hartford Turnpike, in the dense foliage up the slope from the school crossing sign.
